Making A Difference

QEP’s commitment to our communities goes beyond being a good neighbor. We work with our stakeholders to create partnerships that have a positive and meaningful impact – making our communities a better place in which to live and work.

QEP believes Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education is vital to our business and to our country’s ability to compete in the global economy. Since 2014, we have invested $2.36 million in STEM partnerships with school districts across our areas of operation. In Wyoming, we have partnered with the Sublette County School District #1 to implement Project Lead the Way, a nationally-recognized STEM program that includes a rigorous curriculum, professional development for teachers and mentorships between our employees and students. We also partner with Sublette County School District #9 and have sponsored the Big Piney High School Robotics and the middle school Destination Imagination teams. We have contributed $499,000 to these efforts since 2014. Continuing our commitment to STEM education, QEP awards an annual $20,000 college scholarship to help an outstanding Wyoming high school student pursue a STEM degree. QEP also awards college scholarships to students in energy-related fields at the University of Wyoming and Western Wyoming Community College.

We are also committed to improving the health and safety of our local communities. Our partnership with the American Red Cross provides disaster relief and emergency preparedness services throughout the state.
